What led you to look into solar panels?
I was influenced to look into switching to solar by people around me. I have a friend who is very keen on solar so I had spoken to him about it and always found it appealing and interesting. My neighbours also had a solar system installed on their property and invited us round to have a look at the panels. They showed us their app which monitored the system and displayed how much it was generating and I was very impressed. After seeing this, I felt that investing in solar would be a good option for me: I have a good south facing roof, I wanted to be more energy efficient and energy independent and was also keen to do something positive for the planet.
Why did you choose Soly?
I found Soly through being with Shell Power as my energy provider so I decided to go ahead and have the initial online consultation. I came away from the call feeling very impressed with the Soly proposition. Through my research, I had found a lot of information about the Enphase system being the best and Soly offered the Enphase technology at a very good price.
What was the Soly sales process like?
The Soly process was clear, friendly and efficient: the sales consultation over video call was done very well and the documentation that subsequently came through was easy to read. I was initially a bit apprehensive about the fully digital process because my friend had a different experience where their installation couldn’t go ahead as the site survey hadn’t been carried out correctly. This caused me to err on the side of caution when the Soly sales consultant was using the google image technology to determine the number of panels that could be fitted on my roof. I therefore decided to go for 10 panels rather than 12 and this turned out to be the right call. Overall, I would describe the journey with Soly as a very user-friendly and positive process.
